The left-hand picture is of my idealist philosopher and Lutheran namesake Georg
Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831). The right-hand picture is of my Jewish philosopher
and social critic (Ich und Du) ancestor Martin Buber (1878-1965) for whom I have greater
admiration. How I came to share their names is a tale for another day.
